What A Re-Roof Involves
Every full roof replacement we carry out follows the same order, and we will walk you through it before we begin:
- Survey and quote - we look at the whole roof, inside and out, and price it up properly.
- Scaffolding and access - arranged by us, including the council licence where the scaffold stands on a public road.
- Strip-out - the old covering, battens and felt come off and go straight in the skip.
- Structural check - rafters, joists and timbers inspected, with anything rotten replaced before we go further.
- New roof build-up - breathable membrane, new treated battens, then slate or tile laid to spec.
- Leadwork, ridges and verges - new lead to chimneys and valleys, ridges bedded or dry-fixed, and the whole site cleared.
